Kairos Prison Ministry

Kairos Logo

The Kairos website states, “by sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, Kairos hopes to change hearts, transform lives and impact the world.” Kairos is supported by many churches from a variety of denominations and you can use your oven to support this ministry too! That’s right! During a Kairos weekend thousands of cookies are distributed to the incarcerated, their families, the guards, and support personnel at the prison.

Grace UMC will be baking cookies for the Kairos weekend at Dick Connor Correctional facility in Hominy, Oklahoma, the weekend of October 19 to 22. You can show the love of Christ to those participating and make a Christian difference in the lives of incarcerated, their families, and others. The cookies you bake could be the bridge needed to explain that God loves everyone, grace is available to everyone, and anyone can be forgiven.

The types of cookies needed are very specific. For acceptable recipes, please go to this link: https://www.mykairos.org/docs/kpmi/cookies.pdf.

Can’t bake cookies, your prayers are needed as well. Contact Pastor Tim to find out more about this ministry, how and when to get the cookies to the church, and other ways you can help reach out to those who need to hear the good news of Jesus’ forgiveness. You can email him at PastorTim@claremoregrace.org.
